Photo Friday Take 4

Another busy week has passed. So lets see what I did this week. I didn't manage to get many pictures taken this week but we'll see what I can come up with.:)

Friday

I wanted to steal this horse! He was so sweet.

Saturday

The boys picked and Ate their very first tomato of the season.

Sunday

It was Easter.

Monday

I made this bouquet for my MIL's birthday.

Tuesday

I spent the better part of my Tuesday "Editing" my Bluebonnet pictures. ( Long story but some how our camera put a blue color cast on ALL the pictures we took during that trip, and I had to "Fix" them. I'm enclosing 2 pics a before and after.)

Wednesday

I took my MIL to go get a Pedi. She'd never had one, it was supposed to be for her birthday but well we didn't manage to make it Monday.  Since it was her first time we got neck and shoulder massages for free. (my toes only got a touch up on polish since I've had a pedi. recently)

(obviously not my photo, link is here)

Thursday

I have sworn many times that I would not have a garage sale again EVER, but looks like I might have to at least try.

Friday

My puppy decided he needed my clothes basket.  Not much has happened yet today, because the day is still young.

What are your plans for this weekend?

Did you watch The Royal Wedding?

This + This= Bluebonnets?

OK so I know I've alluded here, and here, and here, about a "Project" in the works. So with out further delay it is FINALLY time for the big reveal.  (Warning Lots of pictures in post)

(This + This = Bluebonnets?)

Every year since my sons were born we have went to the Bluebonnets in the Texas Hill country. This year proved challenging with baseball in full swing, and the fact that we haven't had a stitch of rain since mid January, it wasn't looking too promising. We usually try to make it before the yearly festivals, but yet again that was a no go. Timing as with everything else is key, too early they aren't all up yet meaning puny fields, go to late and  they are wilting and again puny fields.

Every year for the Bluebonnets I pick a crazy theme and we head on our way. This year was our yellow chairs. Finding chairs that were fluffy and yellow, and were totally the vision in my head, HA, wasn't happening. So this year I improvised and found some cheap chairs and cheap paint. (Please enjoy the mini trip down memory lane with me.)

After doing some worrying  research, I found a website called the Bluebonnet report. They pretty much have all the know when it comes to anything Bluebonnets. Needless to say we found us a field, and we were on our way. We drove  8 hours round trip with these huge chairs in the back of my husbands truck. Funny sight to see I'm sure, we did have a few people we passed look at us with curiosity. So anyways heres this years Bluebonnets. :)

So do you have a family tradition?

Weekend Recap Easter Edition

Oh goodness, busy weekend full of family time, road trips, adventure, and injury.

Friday we went on a road trip/ adventure something we do as a family yearly since we had the boys, but I will have to post more on that later (expect a big photo post when it comes around).

Saturday we didn't do much, I got a much needed new refrigerator. (mine was TINY and with 3 growing boys there never was enough room to keep enough "healthy" foods on hand in the fridge)  Here is the link for it. It was so nice to be able to move everything from my overly full fridge to my new fridge and not even fill it up 1/2 way :) (and no we didn't pay nearly that much for it, thank goodness. I've drooled over it for nearly 2 years wishing and finally watched enough sales ads I caught it too cheap to pass up.)

Then on to Easter Sunday. Normally I dye eggs and we hunt "real" Easter eggs but this year my kitchen was in such disarray with us going out of town for the day, then coming home to have to move the fridge, and the list goes on, I didn't ever manage to dye real eggs with the kids. Needless to say this Easter bunny had to mad rush it to the local walmart where 100 or more other procrastinating Easter Bunny's were. But in the end we ended up with 2 very happy little boys so that's what matters most!

(this photo is from iCaughtTheEasterBunny.com, I won a giveaway over at Lovingthelittlethings for a free photo, my boys squeeled and couldn't believe that we got a picture of the Easter bunny setting out eggs!)

Later Yesterday afternoon, the boys got to ride their new bikes, and as all growing little children eventually have to do, they started trying to ride without training wheels.
(the first bike pic. with both boys in it they do have their training wheels the last 2 they do not)
After all the fun, we needed a shower, the boys still shower together, well apparently Chris was getting into the shower holding on to the door, and Josh decided to close the door, even though we don't allow them to close it all the way he thought he'd be cute and do it anyways, he closed (all the way) Chris's little finger in the door. It isn't broken thank goodness but it does hurt him pretty good, so hes stuck like this for about a week. Despite all that it still was a great day! :)
(sorry about the evening post, this was supposed to go out this morning but due to unknown reasons my Internet was acting up)
